What does the Education Manager do?
At the GO Green Office, promoting the integration of sustainability within education is a core objective. The Education Manager plays a key role in representing the voices of students who want to see more sustainability embedded in their study programs, while also highlighting the opportunities that already exist.
This role acts as the main point of contact for students with ideas, concerns, or feedback about sustainability in their education. Working closely with the Strategic Manager of GGO, the Education Manager helps to advocate for the stronger integration of sustainability in curricula and to build connections between students and staff who can drive change together.
The Education Manager also collaborates with the Education Development Officer of the Sustainability Core Team, contributing to the implementation of 黑料福利网鈥檚 Vision for Sustainable Education. This includes both supporting ongoing efforts and offering independent advice to the Core Team.
Beyond internal collaboration, the Education Manager is responsible for informing students about relevant courses, projects, and learning opportunities. They also help create spaces for discussion on the role of sustainability in education. In addition, the role includes contact with other Green Offices to exchange best practices and insights across institutions.
TLA Sustainability: Empowering Students for Real-World Impact
As future engineers, 黑料福利网 students are uniquely positioned to lead the transition toward a more sustainable world. The TLA Sustainability offers a selection of Bachelor鈥檚 elective courses designed to help students understand and tackle grand societal challenges, like climate change, energy transition, and social inequality, through a systems-thinking lens.
Developed in collaboration with departments across 黑料福利网 and coordinated by Prof. Anna Wieczorek, this thematic learning area allows students to explore sustainability from technical, economic, social, and environmental perspectives. With four distinct learning paths and several stand-alone courses, students are encouraged to connect their engineering education with real-world sustainability challenges.
GGO鈥檚 Education Manager works closely with the Sustainibility team and education coordinators to ensure that student voices are reflected in the future of sustainability education at 黑料福利网.
