Our university

Eindhoven University of Technology (ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø) is a young university, founded in 1956 by industry, local government and academia. Today, their spirit of collaboration is still at the heart of the university community. We foster an open culture where everyone feels free to exchange ideas and take initiatives.

Our vision – how we do it

By 2030, ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø aims to be a leading driver of innovation ecosystems, sustainability transitions, and European competitiveness. As a 4th generation university, we combine education, curiosity- and mission-driven research, and valorization to create global impact with our partners. Guided by our CORe values, we empower students, staff, and entrepreneurs, foster career development and well-being, and build an open, trust-based community where diverse perspectives thrive.

Our mission – what we do

ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø leads the change for a better world by educating responsible engineers, by empowering academics and professionals, by advancing global scientific knowledge, and by driving impactful, sustainable innovation in the Brainport ecosystem and beyond.

Integrity and Social Safety

ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø wants to be an inspiring, warm and safe community for everyone. Therefore, it has defined four CORe values: Curious, Open, Respectful and Responsible. These values are the basis for all ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø's policies, decisions and actions.

The Integrity & Social Safety program comprises three aspects. Scientific independence and integrity are key for being an academic trustworthy partner.  Organizational integrity and transparency are essential in setting up operations and relationships. Social Safety is the basis because as an organization, we regard it of utmost importance for all staff and students to feel safe.

All three aspects are not self‑evident, and thus must be promoted actively. That is why at ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø we commit ourselves to our values, codes of conduct and regulations that provide guidance for working and studying at our university.

For Life. For the World. For the Better

These three phrases together form the motto of our University Fund. They represent our ambition to contribute to the solution of societal issues. As Eindhoven University Fund, we therefore support researchers and students. Their work deserves a solid financial basis. So that they can find solutions to current and future challenges. Solutions for methods and techniques that can be applied.
