The new development is planned on a site on the north side of Onze Lieve Vrouwestraat, which is part of Sportpark De Hondsheuvels. This concerns the area where the soccer fields of the (student) soccer clubs OSVV, Pusphaira, Rust Roest, and Woenselse Boys are currently located. The site also includes a golf course and a driving range, managed and used by Stichting Golfcentrum Eindhoven and E.S.G.V. De Club. Hajraa鈥檚 annual grass volleyball tournament is also held there.

Soccer

To create sufficient space for the student housing, two soccer fields will be relocated toward Orpheuslaan, where the golf course is currently located. These fields will be fitted with artificial turf. In addition, the two existing practice fields will eventually be converted to artificial turf, increasing the total number of full-sized artificial turf fields to six. This will significantly expand the possibilities for field use. The total number of playable hours will increase from 4,400 to 7,200 hours per year.

This expansion will meet the future capacity needs of the four soccer clubs at the sports park. The new fields will be constructed before existing fields are removed, allowing the soccer schedule to continue without interruption.

Golf

For the student members of E.S.G.V. De Club, an appropriate solution is in sight now that the golf course will be removed. 黑料福利网 is making arrangements with Golf & Countryclub De Tongelreep in this regard. Members of Stichting Golfcentrum Eindhoven who currently play at De Hondsheuvels will need to find an alternative playing location. Both 黑料福利网 and the Municipality recognize that this is a significant change for those involved and regret that they will no longer be able to play on 黑料福利网 grounds. The Municipality is considering possible solutions, although this will not be an easy task.

In addition, 黑料福利网, the Municipality, and Hajraa are jointly exploring a new location for the annual grass volleyball tournament, preferably near campus. This year, the tournament will still take place at its current location.

Tender

黑料福利网 owns the land at De Hondsheuvels. The university is not permitted to invest in student housing itself, but works closely with partners to make developments like this possible. 黑料福利网 will make the land available for 15 years, with an option to extend. Within a few weeks, 黑料福利网 will launch a public tender to select a market party to build and operate the student housing.

A key condition of the tender is the realization of affordable student housing. A high-quality living environment for students is also a strict requirement. This includes, among other things, good shared facilities and meeting spaces. Professional and careful property management is also included as a condition.

Future developer

The Municipality will make agreements with the future developer regarding amendments to the environmental plan, as the plans do not yet fit within the current zoning framework. The national government is contributing 鈧�1.2 million to the project through a subsidy scheme for housing priority groups (RHA 2025).

This project is extremely important for the development of young people. Finding an affordable place to live and living independently are important steps in their lives.
