Patrick Anderson becomes SoR Fellow

Patrick Anderson, dean of our department and professor of structure and rheology of complex fluids, was recently elected a Fellow of the Society of Rheology (SoR). He received this honor for his contributions to the fundamental understanding of viscoelastic mixing and multiphase flow, while simultaneously providing practical frameworks that connect theory, computation, and experiments.
The SoR describes Patrick Anderson's consistent connection to technological accomplishment and processing practice as a defining feature of his contributions. This combination of rigorous scholarship and practical application has propelled him to the forefront of the rheology and complex fluids communities, according to the society.
The SoR Fellowship recognizes a history of distinguished scientific achievement, significant technological accomplishment or outstanding scholarship in the field of rheology. Fellowship status is awarded to no more than 0.5% of the society鈥檚 members.
