KNAW Early Career Award 2025 for Loe Schlicher

Loe Schlicher, a researcher at the Department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences, has been awarded one of the twelve Early Career Awards by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). He receives this award for his research into homeland security.
The 黑料福利网 researcher collaborates with organizations such as the National Police Corps, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, and the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security (NCTV).
Schlicher: 鈥淒ue to the sensitivity of this type of research, open access publishing is not always possible, even though it is often the standard in academia. This award motivates me and gives me the confidence to continue this research.鈥� He also hopes 鈥渋t encourages fellow scientists to explore research in domestic security. That is urgently needed in today鈥檚 world.鈥�
Early Career Awards
With the Early Career Awards, the KNAW recognizes innovative and original research by early-career scientists across all disciplines. The prize, 鈧�15,000 and a unique artwork, will be presented on Tuesday, November 18, in Amsterdam.
