With its extensive, flexible program, Intro Week 2026 accommodates personal preferences without missing out on relevant activities. In addition, there are opportunities for all first-year students to meet each other, upperclassmen, and ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø staff, such as during the All ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍøgether Festival on Thursday, August 20. Connecting with students from other educational institutions in Eindhoven is a central focus of the joint student festival Vibes, taking place on Wednesday, August 26, at Stadhuisplein.

Crash Place or Campus Camping

Anyone who’d like to get to know student life in Eindhoven even better can secure a place to stay in a student house through Crash Place during this year’s Intro Week. Overnight stays are also available again this year at the Campus Camping, which has 300 spots. Students can check in there starting Sunday evening, August 16.

Unwind Program

Last year’s parallel program, which offered alternatives for those who preferred to skip the crowded evening parties, was hugely popular and well attended. That’s why, during Intro Week 2026, more activities will offer a low-stimulus alternative under the banner of the Unwind Program: both in the daytime schedule and the evening party lineup for bachelor’s students, as well as in the evening program for master’s students and during the joint student festival Vibes. Even the route from the station to the campus literally has two different paths to choose from.

Welcome Days for International Students

On Friday, August 14, and Sunday, August 16, the Welcome Days for international first-year students (bachelor’s and master’s) will take place. Featuring an information fair, an ‘eat & greet,’ and a custom-made comedy lecture by comedian Luuk van der Vaart, titled ‘Welcome to the Netherlands.’ With humor and insight, he explains why the Dutch are the way they are, what makes Eindhoven’s culture unique, and how we can work together to foster mutual understanding. There will also be bike lessons for those who want to master that particular aspect of Dutch culture. More information about the Welcome Days is available here.

Bachelor Intro with a jam-packed (parallel) program

From Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, the Bachelor Intro kicks off with a jam-packed program. Highlights include the Campus Market on Tuesday, where first-years can get to know all the student clubs (sports, games, culture) and the services offered by ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø and its partners. The parallel Unwind program, under the name Campus Lounge, offers, among other things, a reading corner and a fan-making workshop led by the Japanese club Kinjin, board games, crafts, academic advisors, information from the ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø student association TINT, and various chill-out areas.

That same day, students will take part in a Campus Quest, for which they’ll receive a hands-on assignment from their department’s student association. At the end of the afternoon, they’ll test the ‘inventions’ that result from this assignment.

On Thursday, there’s a group kickoff at the Philips Stadium, followed by the City Tour to get to know the city. For this, there’s also an alternative Unwind program, Explore at Ease, featuring special guides and, among other things, a visit to the board game café Joto’s, the secondhand & vintage store Books for Life, and dedicated time slots for Lab1 and the Philips Museum.

Every evening features a different spectacular party, but for students who aren’t into that, there’s also Intro Unwind every night with games, chess tournaments, sports, music, movies, and creative workshops. On Thursday, there’s a third option on the program: the culture evening with theater, music, dance, and other cultural clubs at ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø. Master Kickoff with Company Tour

From Monday, August 24, through Wednesday, August 26, new master’s students will participate in a three-day orientation program designed to help them get to know each other, their degree program, the university, and Eindhoven’s innovative ecosystem. Activities include a Company Tour to 35 high-tech companies in the Brainport region and the Master Challenge, during which they’ll work in multidisciplinary teams on real-world problems posed by businesses and social organizations.

On Tuesday, they’ll explore the city during ‘Eindhoven by Night,’ and there will also be ‘Intro Unwind,’ featuring a varied program of games, chess tournaments, sports, music, movies, and creative workshops. Space Invaders Hunt

Wildly popular in more and more cities around the world and now making its way to the ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø: the Space Invaders Hunt, a scavenger hunt for mosaic artworks by the French street artist Invader. He places small tile mosaics all over the world that resemble the aliens from the classic video game Space Invaders. Especially for Intro Week, the Eindhoven campus is also featuring these (homemade) mosaic artworks, which reveal more information and fun facts for each building.

Joint Student Festival Vibes

This marks the third edition of Eindhoven’s student festival Vibes for vocational, higher professional, and university students. On Wednesday, August 26, the five Eindhoven educational institutions—Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Summa, SintLucas, De Rooi Pannen, and ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø—together with the City of Eindhoven, will treat all first-year students to a joint festival. The Stadhuisplein will feature performances by local artists, presentations by student associations, food trucks, and various DJs. New this year is Vibes Unwind: a separate festival area in a green space adjacent to the Stadhuisplein, for those who want to escape the noise and hustle and bustle—even if just for a little while.
