Dr. Lukas Bangert joins AI-enhanced solvent-based recycling project as a postdoctoral researcher
The Polymer Performance Materials group welcomes Dr. Lukas Bangert as a postdoctoral researcher.
In this role, he will initially contribute to an AI-enhanced solvent-based recycling process for complex plastic waste, supporting ongoing research aimed at advancing circular solutions for plastics.
Working with project lead 沤eljko Tomovi膰 and startup partner , the goal is to design and validate an adaptive recycling process capable of recovering high-quality polymers from challenging streams such as packaging and e-waste. By combining polymer science with machine-learning tools, the team aims to improve solvent selection, optimize process parameters, and accelerate the transition toward a more circular plastics economy in the Netherlands and Europe.
