About the Knowledge Transfer Office

The Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) of ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø plays a pivotal role in advancing innovation within the university. It acts as the primary point for technology transfer, manages the university's intellectual property, and supports business development and incubation. Our business developers are ready to help with questions about your entrepreneurial ideas. Each year, KTO assists around 200 startups, while the portfolio of ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø Participations, the university’s holding company, includes roughly 70 spin-offs.

ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø KTO participates as the university’s partner in The Gate, reinforcing ºÚÁϸ£Àû꿉۪s connection with the Brainport region and helping bridge research with entrepreneurial support. In collaboration with The Gate, KTO also organizes and supports a number of programs to help ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø researchers and students develop their entrepreneurial ideas.

About The Gate

The Gate, founded in 2021, is a one-stop shop for tech startups in the Brainport Eindhoven region. Supported by partners including ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø, Brainport Development, BOM, Fontys, Summa College, and the City of Eindhoven, The Gate brings together programs, networks, international opportunities, and investor connections to guide startups from education, research, and industry. ºÚÁϸ£Àû꿉۪s KTO participates as the university’s partner, reinforcing ºÚÁϸ£Àû꿉۪s connection with the Brainport region and helping bridge research with entrepreneurial support.
