Clean energy. Affordable housing. Healthy ageing. Smart technologies.
Many of today鈥檚 biggest challenges require engineers who can look beyond one discipline and create solutions that work in the real world.
At 黑料福利网, you don鈥檛 just learn how technology works, you learn how to apply it. Through Challenge-Based Learning (CBL), you work in teams on real challenges from industry and society. Together with students, researchers, and professionals, you explore complex problems, develop ideas, build prototypes, and create solutions.
What is Challenge-Based Learning?
Challenge-Based Learning is 黑料福利网鈥檚 approach to education that connects theory with practice. Throughout your bachelor鈥檚 or master鈥檚 program, you apply your knowledge to open-ended challenges: problems that do not have one clear answer.
You learn through a combination of courses, teamwork, research, experimentation, and collaboration with experts from different fields. Instead of only learning about technology, you discover how to use technology to solve problems that matter.
Challenges can include topics such as:
- Sustainable energy systems
- Smart cities and mobility
- Healthcare technology
- Artificial intelligence and data-driven solutions
- Advanced manufacturing and robotics
By working on real challenges, you develop both technical expertise and the skills needed to become an engineer who can contribute to society.
Why learn through challenges?
-
Work on problems that matter
Your projects are connected to real questions from society and industry. This allows you to see how your knowledge can contribute to solving challenges outside the classroom.
-
Take ownership of your learning
Challenges often start without a predefined solution. You learn to make choices, find the right information, and determine which expertise you need.
-
Collaborate across disciplines
Innovation rarely happens within one field. You work together with students from different programs and learn how different perspectives lead to better solutions.
-
Prepare for your future career
Working with researchers, companies, and professionals gives you experience with the way engineers work in the real world.
How does Challenge-Based Learning work?
Challenge-Based Learning starts with a real challenge: a complex question or problem that requires creativity, collaboration, and different perspectives. Together with your team, you explore the challenge, decide what you need to learn, and develop your own approach.
