Our mission
Our mission is to make testing for endometriosis faster and less troublesome for both doctors and patients. Using novel biosensing technologies, we will allow for accurate diagnosis without use of invasive surgical techniques.
Our challenge
It takes a very long time for patients to get diagnosed with endometriosis, also attributed to discomfort women feel when visiting the doctor. Getting tested in a non-stressful way is impossible, as right now laparoscopy is the standard method for diagnosing endometriosis.
Our solution
Using complementary biosensing, expressed micro-RNA (miRNA) can be detected in the bloodstream. Color changing compounds attached to these biosensors will allow for easy diagnosis.
