Our mission at Hermes is to create a scalable academic guidance solution for students, giving them a personalized and directed framework to approach their career goals.
Our challenge
Students face many challenges choosing the next step in their journey, whether its elective program requirements, or balancing their own interests and skills against what a constantly evolving industry wants. Academic advisors can help, but they cannot provide specific advice that adheres to every students personal needs at scale.
Our solution
Our solution is to develop a personalized digital advisor; It will take into account all of the student specific data, like their grades, interests, and goals, as well as current and predictive job market data, in order to help them form an optimal educational path to reach their goals.
As a group, we felt that our motivations and skills gave us the unique opportunity to both develop a product that could facilitate change while also serving as an exercise in entrepreneurship.
