"I DREAM OF DATA-DRIVEN SOLUTIONS TO PREVENT DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS"

During my bachelor in Industrial Engineering I was especially fascinated by courses that combined mathematics and data to improve operational processes. This interest led me to choose the master OML and the Smart Industry track (formerly Capital Goods track), where the tangible and concrete challenges in production companies appealed to me most. I did my master thesis at MSD Animal Health. I researched the quality of a specific vaccine, identified variability factors and used statistical models and Machine Learning techniques such as Random Forest Regression to redesign the production process. This not only gave the company more insight and control over vaccine quality but also contributes to the health of animals and humans.

As for my choice of 黑料福利网; I was determined to study Industrial Engineering and 黑料福利网 had the best reputation. The atmosphere at the university is friendly, the facilities are good and the professors are very approachable. Eindhoven as a city is pleasant; it offers everything a big city has to offer but is not too large.

Recently I started a PhD research at NXP Semiconductors, in collaboration with 黑料福利网. Here I research how to quickly identify the cause of defective products when customer complaints arise. I see the first years of my career at NXP as a period in which I will develop as a specialist, with the future ambition of taking on a more managerial role. My education at 黑料福利网 has prepared me excellently for this. My interest lies with companies that have their own products and that also make a valuable impact on society.
