2-day course Data Science & AI
The Real-World Data Science & AI course is targeted at professionals who want to develop a realistic image of the opportunities that Data Science and AI brings to organizations, and who are interested in learning all different aspects that come into play when pursuing Data Science and AI projects.
What to expect?
During the 2-day course, you will learn about data science and AI and the new forms of data, analytics and opportunities in this field. We discuss Big Data, predictive algorithms, machine learning and (Generative) AI. We discuss typical applications, ranging from Data Science to make current processes and services more efficient, to new products with smart features, and data and analytics as a basis for new business models.
We will also discuss:
- Types of Data Science projects that are and aren’t feasible, along with the typical red and green flags when considering the feasibility of these projects
- Data-analytic thinking and the CRISP-DM model for executing data science & AI projects
- The ethical aspects that need to be considered when pursuing data science & AI projects
- Cases and examples to put what you have learned into practice

Do you have any advice for future participants?
I would recommend this introductory course not only to future professionals but also to decision-makers within large organizations (companies, educational institutions, and government agencies), where decisions need to be made about implementing these technologies and where an understanding of both opportunities and risks is essential. The course assumes a basic familiarity with mathematical topics, such as statistics.
