The Systems and AI track focuses on the design and analysis of advanced computer systems that integrate machine learning with distributed, real-time, and cyber-physical systems. Students study how data-driven methods interact with networked and time-critical software, with an emphasis on correctness, reliability, and safety. The program bridges theory and practice and teaches students how to model, analyze, and evaluate intelligent software systems within realistic constraints such as timing, safety, and security. Graduates acquire the skills to design reliable systems that combine formal and automated reasoning with practical implementation, while taking into account industrial standards for safety-critical systems. The program includes courses such as machine learning, distributed/cloud/edge systems, real-time and safety-critical systems, cyber-physical systems, software security, and various standard software frameworks.
