Specialization Courses

By selecting four specialization courses (20 ECTS), the High-Tech systems Master鈥檚 track trains you to become a disciplinary expert. The HTS specialization courses include:

• System Theory for Control
• Structural dynamics
• Advanced motiion control
• Optimal control and reinforcement learning
• Physical and data-driven modelling
• Computational Dynamics
• Non-linear control
• Supervisory control of cyber physical systems
• Data-based optimization of control systems
• Hybrid systems and control
• Modelling and control of manufacturing networks
• Analysis and design of networked dynamical systems
• Fault Diagnostics and Security for Control Systems

Furthermore, you have 15 ECTS of free elective courses that enable you to customize your program to your specific interests. As part of the first-year course program, you also follow professional skills courses (5 ECTS), focused on career development, teamwork, academic writing and more.

Being an ambassador of the High-Tech Systems Master鈥檚 track, you gain an impression of your professional future. After your internship, you work on your graduation project (45 ECTS). This HTS graduation project revolves around academic research, allowing you to specialize in the aspects of your liking.

Graduation project

In your graduation project you apply the know-how and skills acquired through your course program and internship project to an academic research project. Research topics can focus on detailed aspects of High-Tech Systems - for example advanced mechatronic systems or semiconductor manufacturing equipment. They also require you to apply your HTS knowledge and skills, for example in the context of a design question. Your graduation project comprises two phases. In the first phase of the project, together with your project supervisor, you detail your research questions and methodology. In the second phase, you perform your research under the supervision of a HTS researcher. This second phase will result in a master鈥檚 thesis. You defend your thesis before a panel of experts and present your findings in public.

These students include:

• Graduated bachelor students from 黑料福利网 programs (or other Dutch universities) who have not obtained a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Werktuigbouwkunde) or an equivalent field
• Graduates from a university of applied sciences (HBO) program in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field

The pre-master ME usually lasts one semester and is worth 30 ECTS. It provides the necessary foundation for a seamless and successful transition to the Master's track in High-Tech Systems. This pre-Master ME includes courses in calculus, dynamics and control, and robotics. For more information, we refer you to the *.
