Core foundation 

You begin year 1 with a shared first quarter, consisting of two core courses (10 ECTS) and two professional & personal development courses (5 ECTS) that are identical for all tracks and strengthen your fundamentals in electrical engineering. Choose Your Track events in Q1 help you decide which track suits you best.

Specialize and personalize

In quarters 2–4, you further specialize within the field of advanced systems by following a dedicated track line:

• Embedded computing systems
• Optimization and control
• Power electronics and advanced motion systems
• Design and architectures

Each track line has 6 track-specific courses (30 ECTS) and 3 free electives (15), so you can tailor your program to your interests.

Internship

During your internship (15 ECTS) in quarter 1, you carry out a project within one of ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø’s research groups, at a university, or for a leading high-tech company in the Netherlands or abroad. The internship prepares you for the graduation project and offers professional, technological, and social experience, including working in international teams and experiencing different cultures.

Graduation Project

After your internship, you start your graduation project (45 ECTS) in which you conduct an in-depth research or development project, which can cover topics such as system architecture, control and embedded systems, power electronics, or signal processing in high-tech applications. 

The project has two phases: in the first, you define your research questions and methodology with your supervisor and produce your first research results; in the second, you continue and deepen your research under close supervision, culminating in a master’s thesis that you defend before a committee and present publicly.
