Why High-Tech Systems?

The High-Tech Systems track, launching in September 2026, is newly designed to meet the growing demand for skilled electrical engineers in the high-tech industry. HTS prepares you to architect, model, and design complex systems that integrate cyber components such as computing, communication, and embedded intelligence with physical components like sensing, actuation, control, and motion.

What鈥檚 in it for me?

You develop a multidisciplinary systems perspective, combining embedded systems, control systems, and power electronics. HTS equips you to solve global challenges, including the need for energy-efficient precision systems, increasing automation demands, and workforce shortages in technological industries. In this track, you鈥檒l learn to model, design, and optimize complex high-tech and cyber-physical systems, combining strong theoretical foundations with practical engineering skills.

You will gain expertise in:

  • Modeling of the computation and communication in high-tech systems
  • Hybrid and dynamic system modeling
  • Model-driven and data-driven design methodologies
  • Embedded control systems and control principles
  • High-performance motion control
