Degree structure

This two-year master鈥檚 track follows the official requirements of the Mechanical Engineering Master鈥檚 Program with the accompanying European Credit Transfer and Accumulation Systems (ECTS). It offers a two-year program (120 ECTS), with the first year focusing on following courses and the second one dedicated to the internship and graduation project. After completing the program, you receive a Master鈥檚 diploma in Mechanical Engineering stating your specialization in Computational Engineering.

Year 1

This master鈥檚 track includes 20 ECTS mandatory courses that provide a solid foundation for methods and tools required in computational engineering. They are not tailored towards a specific field or application of mechanical engineering, but they do offer an overview of the fundamentals of simulation and optimization method

Year 2

Your second year comprises your internship and graduation project where you can put the expertise you gained during your first year to good use. During your internship (15 ECTS) you will apply the knowledge in a project in the sector or at a research institute where you gain an impression of your professional future. After your internship, you work on your graduation project (45 ECTS) which revolves around academic research.

The Mechanical Engineering pre-Master鈥檚 program

The Mechanical Engineering (ME) pre-Master鈥檚 program is aimed at students who have not been granted direct admission to the CE Master鈥檚 track.

The research groups in this master's track
