Mechatronic Systems Design

Within the Master's program, you can tailor your education by choosing one or more dedicated specializations. Each specialization is fully integrated within the 120 ECTS Mechanical Engineering master's program and will be recognized on your diploma supplement upon completion. You may also choose to graduate without a specialization.

Mechatronic Systems Design (MSD) prepares you to design and optimize the complex, high-performance systems that power today's and tomorrow's high-tech industries. This specialization combines mechanical engineering, control systems, robotics, software integration, and system architecture to develop intelligent and reliable solutions for real-world challenges.

You will gain expertise in mechatronic system design, mechanical dynamics, control theory, robotics, precision engineering, and performance optimization. Through hands-on experience in advanced laboratories and simulation environments, you will learn to integrate hardware, software, and control strategies into innovative systems that operate with accuracy and reliability. Located in the heart of Brainport Eindhoven, MSD offers close collaboration with leading researchers and high-tech companies. The specialization prepares you for impactful careers in sectors such as semiconductors, medical devices, robotics, automotive systems, and advanced manufacturing, where multidisciplinary design is essential for innovation.
