Within the Master's program, you can tailor your education by choosing one or more dedicated specializations. Each specialization is fully integrated within the 120 ECTS Mechanical Engineering master's program and will be recognized on your diploma supplement upon completion. You may also choose to graduate without a specialization.
Engineering Solid Mechanics (ESM) prepares you to design, analyze, and optimize the products, structures, and materials that shape modern society. This specialization combines mechanics, materials science, and advanced numerical methods to address engineering challenges in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, robotics, medical devices, and high-tech systems.
You will gain expertise in structural design, material behavior, durability, manufacturing processes, and fracture mechanics, while learning to predict and improve the performance of components and structures. Through access to advanced laboratories, materials characterization facilities, and state-of-the-art simulation tools, you will combine theoretical, computational, and experimental approaches to solve complex engineering problems. ESM prepares you for impactful careers in industry and research, enabling you to develop innovative, reliable, and sustainable solutions across a wide range of applications.
