- How long does the program take, and in which language is it taught?
Industrial and Applied Mathematics is a two-year, full-time Master of Science program comprising 120 ECTS. The program is taught entirely in English.
- What academic background do I need?
The program is particularly suitable for graduates with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in mathematics and strong mathematical knowledge is required. Applicants with another academic background are assessed based on the mathematical content and level of their previous education. Depending on your educational background, you may still be admissible if you complete additional courses or a pre-master鈥檚 program. - How is Industrial and Applied Mathematics different from a general mathematics master鈥檚?
Alongside theoretical depth and advanced mathematical courses, you will be able to connect mathematics to technological, scientific and industrial challenges. You work on modelling problems, computational methods and projects inspired by real applications. The program also provides the foundation needed for research or a PhD.
- Can I specialize within the program?
You can shape your program around several mathematical application areas, namely Mathematics of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Network Mathematics, Mathematics and Computing in the Sciences, or Mathematics for Digital Technologies.
