Q: How long does the program take, and in which language is it taught?
A: Embedded Systems is a two-year, full-time Master of Science program comprising 120 ECTS. The program is taught entirely in English.
Q: What academic background do I need?
A: The program is particularly suitable for graduates with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Applicants are expected to have relevant knowledge in areas such as algorithms, software development, operating systems, signal processing, digital systems, circuits, or systems and control. Your previous education will be assessed as part of the admission process.
Q: Can I apply with a different bachelor鈥檚 degree?
A: Applicants with another technical or engineering background may still be considered if their previous education provides sufficient relevant knowledge. Depending on the identified deficiencies and your educational background, you may be required to complete additional courses or a pre-master鈥檚 program. The Embedded Systems pre-master鈥檚 program comprises 30 ECTS.
Q: Can I specialize within the program?
A: Yes. Students can shape their study program through streams and specialization options. You will gain deeper expertise in Systems on Chip, Embedded Software, Embedded Networking or Cyber-Physical systems. Alternatively, you can choose to specialize in Edge Intelligence.
