These systems are in every aspect of your lives, from smart TVs and medical equipment, to industrial production lines and self-driving cars. You may not notice them at first, but modern life depends on what embedded systems do quietly in the background.

As embedded systems become more advanced and interconnected, designing them requires deep expertise. The master鈥檚 program in Embedded Systems at 黑料福利网 equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to create complex, efficient, and reliable systems that satisfy strict performance and reliability requirements.

Jointly offered by the departments of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, the program combines expertise from both disciplines to give you a broad, interdisciplinary perspective on embedded systems.

The program Embedded Systems offers one specialization. You can pick this specialization once you started the program (so you do not need to make the decision when you apply).

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

By the end of the Embedded Systems master program, you will be able to:

  • understand the design, applications, and evolution of embedded systems;
  • structurally analyze embedded systems using proper abstractions;
  • design embedded systems that meet functional and non-functional requirements, while considering reliability, cost, sustainability, and resources;
  • conduct research and design projects both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.;
  • communicate  effectively  and reflect critically on the impact of this technology on society.

You will also develop in-depth expertise in a specific area of embedded systems by choosing either the Edge Intelligence specialization or one of the following four streams.

Systems on Chip
design systems-on-chip (SoCs) by balancing key design trade-offs and applying formal verification techniques.

Embedded Software
develop embedded software using model-driven design, domain-specific languages, code generation, and formal scheduling techniques.

Embedded Networking
focus on the architectures and communication protocols used in distributed and networked systems, including wireless sensor networks and the Internet of Things.

Cyber-Physical Systems
design cyber-physical systems by integrating embedded computing with physical processes, with a focus on control, signal processing, and multidisciplinary system design.
