WHY CARE & CURE?
Healthcare is rapidly changing, and technology plays a key role. In this track, you will develop solutions that directly improve how people are diagnosed, monitored, and treated. Applications range from advanced hospital technologies such as MRI and ultrasound systems to wearable sensors, implantable devices and diagnostic technologies used throughout the treatment process. You will work at the intersection of technology and healthcare, combining insights from engineering, data science, and life sciences to solve real-world medical challenges.

You may work on challenges such as:
- Improving the early detection of cancer through advanced imaging technologies
- Designing wearable sensors that help patients monitor their health at home
- Developing technologies that enable elderly people to live independently for longer
- Designing implantable devices and neurostimulation therapies for patients with heart and brain disorders

What will you learn?
Whether you are interested in medical imaging, biomedical signal processing, patient monitoring, medical devices or healthcare innovation, this track provides the knowledge and engineering skills to develop innovative and patient-centered healthcare technologies.
You will learn how to:
- Analyse and interpret biological signals
- Develop medical imaging and sensing technologies
- Design systems that support patients in hospitals and at home
- Design therapeutic devices for personalized treatment
- Translate research into real healthcare applications
- Collaborate effectively with clinicians, researchers and industry professionals
- Consider ethical, regulatory and societal aspects of technical solutions
