General Welcome Days
WHEN WILL THE WELCOME DAYS TAKE PLACE?
The Welcome Days will take place on the 14th and 16th of August.
WHO IS THE WELCOME DAYS FOR?
The Welcome Days is for all international first-years students (Bachelor and Master) at the Eindhoven University of Technology. If you have not been accepted for the study program, you cannot take part in the Welcome Days.
WHAT IF I CANNOT ALWAYS BE PRESENT?
If you cannot be present during some parts of the Welcome Days, you can send an email to intro@tue.nl with your name, study and student number.
I'M DOUBTING BETWEEN REGISTERING FOR THE WELCOME DAYS OR THE INTRO WEEK/MASTER KICK-OFF, WHAT'S THE BEST OPTION?
The Welcome Days are intended for international bachelor's and master's students. The Welcome Days program is designed to complement the Intro Week (for bachelor's students) or the Master Kick-Off (for master's students). Therefore, we recommend international bachelor's students to attend both the Welcome Days and the Intro Week, and international master's students to attend both the Welcome Days and the Master Kick-Off.
ARE THE WELCOME DAYS MANDATORY?
No, the Welcome Days are not mandatory. However, the Welcome Days are a great way to meet new (international) people and make new friends. On top of that, you can get a lot of information about things like how to get a GP, how banking works in the Netherlands, and you will meet Dutch culture in a fun and interactive way. Therefore, we highly advice you to take part in the Welcome Days if you're new in The Netherlands.
IS MY LATE ARRIVAL A PROBLEM?
No, luckily arriving late is not a problem. In the app, you will find the opening hours and location of the CIC-office. Once you arrive, you should report yourself there, as the organisation can give you your wristband.
IS THERE A LOWER FEE FOR LATE ARRIVALS?
No, the fee of the introduction activities is the full fee, even if you arrive late.
