On Tuesday, 24 March 2026, the 18th edition of the Physics Teachers鈥 Day took place, specifically for secondary school physics teachers. The theme, 鈥净耻补苍迟耻尘,鈥 provided deeper insight into quantum mechanics and translated complex concepts into classroom-relevant applications, such as quantum computers, secure communication, and highly precise measurements.
Following a joint lunch and a welcome address by Dean Kees Storm, Servaas Kokkelmans and Diederick Croese delivered inspiring lectures. During two workshop rounds, teachers actively engaged in practical teaching methods, demonstrations, and guided tours, all aimed at direct application in the classroom.
The day concluded with a networking dinner and offered plenty of tools and inspiration to incorporate quantum into physics education.
