Resources
These resources provide lecturers with guidance, inspiration, and practical support to enhance their teaching and educational development. They include information on educational innovation initiatives, teaching and learning literature, engineering education conferences, and tools for (re)designing Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) courses, helping educators stay up to date, exchange ideas, and continuously improve their educational practice.
Learning Communities
The ALT Learning Communities bring together educators and educational professionals to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and collaborate on educational innovation. Covering themes such as AI in education, Challenge-Based Learning (CBL), Learning Analytics, Sustainability, and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI), these communities foster peer learning, inspire new ideas, and support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices.
ºÚÁϸ£Àû꿉۪s UTQ redesign: A smarter fit for today’s educators
At ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø, we educate engineers who can develop technical solutions not only for today's challenges, but also for the complex problems our world will face in the future. Our faculty already delivers exceptional engineering education, combining world-class technical expertise with dedicated teaching. The University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) builds on this strong foundation, helping educators enhance their skills even further through evidence-based practices and collaborative learning.
Three Continuous Professional Development (CPD) pathways available for teachers
ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø offers three CPD pathways tailored to individual roles, tasks, and ambitions. This enables teachers to continuously grow in alignment with their own learning needs, available support, and the goals of their teams and departments.
At the heart of ºÚÁϸ£Àû꿉۪s professional development network are the CPD Ambassadors — educators who are passionate about student-centered teaching and eager to engage colleagues in conversations about teaching and learning. They have all developed their own ideas for improving education practices, and they welcome fellow ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø teachers to exchange experiences, explore challenges, and share best practices.
We have aimed our offer at four different phases, namely:
- Awareness, when you like to know what CBL is and how it is used at ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍø
- Foundational, when you want to gain more knowledge about the basic principles of CBL in practice
- Proficient, when starting to apply CBL principles in your teaching practice
- Advanced, when you already have a concrete design question for curriculum (re)design towards CBL
